Sailboats

This is how it turned out.
It's really small quilt, just 17" x 23".
It's been half way done and last year and was set aside for a while... But, when you know the quilt show is coming, it makes you do some actions! It took me about the same time quilting as I did piecing and fusing.

Lenore Crawford design.
Will be displayed at our local annual quilt show tomorrow.
Please, come to vote and have fun at our show!

Happy quilting!

Meditation: beading with TED talks

Beading is one more thing I like doing for meditation or just relaxation.
It's really time consuming, so I combine my beading time with listening to TED talks. Just for information: beading one sunflower heart takes about FOUR talks!

Goodbye, Murphy...

He passed away on Friday, July 29th from heart attack or some heart related disease, very sudden, in my hands. He was almost 13. Such a lovely dog, very friendly, obedient and absolutely "no problem" dog. He will be missed a lot!

My little cat (OK, not so little anymore :) ) lost his best friend!

I have never had dogs for that long time in my life (I am a cat woman! :) ), but Murphy became a big and important portion of my life: he grew up with me, since the first day I stepped on American soil, till the day, when he had gone. The last chapter of this book is read.....
Sleep tight, my dear Murphy. You will be loved and remembered forever.

Jewelry maker organizer bag: same pattern, new purpose

One of my customers asked me if it was possible to customize the quilters organizer bag for beading and making jewelry. It doesn't really need an ironing pad inside, but it still has lots of space, zippered pockets, detachable clear vinyl pockets, exterior mesh pockets and elastic band for markers, pens and tools.

The size of the bag - 14" x 7" x 7".
When open flat, it's 22" long and 14" wide.
It has 42" detachable shoulder strap on swivel hooks and separating zipper on the top.

So, I added Bead mat with velcro strip to the top side of the bag.

Pockets are not sewn to the bottom, so you can use this space to arrange your beading mat flat underneath of those pockets, or slide some other flat items there. When you ready to use your mat, simply unstick it, flip it towards you and stick it back to the velcro strip.

Or simply detach it and use separately.

Four snaps on each side allow you to keep the bag box-shaped, when snapped. You can unsnap just two of them and use one side only as a tray or unsnap both sides to lay it flat.

Same pattern! You can find it on Craftsy as a Quilters Organizer Bag in my pattern store @QuiltessaNatalie. Just replace the ironing pad fabric with a regular lining and attach a bead mat with Velcro strip to it.

You can also place your custom order for this bag in my Quiltess.com store and I will be glad to make you one.

If you are looking for additional vinyl clear bags, you can also purchase them in my sore. Quantity discount is available!

To save your time on finding hardware and other supplies, you can simply order a Supply kit for the bag in my Quiltess.com store. You can also choose from light or dark color kit.

Happy beading!
