Class with Nancy Prince

I took a class on thread sketching with Nancy Prince at the Mountain Quiltfest show in Pigeon Forge this year (2016 , btw, for the history...)
This was an example we were working on.
 5,4,3,2,1 - ready to start!
This is my first attempts:

She said: "Pretty good!"
I did not finish it all during the class, so I could't resist temptation to keep stitching when came back to my cabin. Ooops! What can be worse, than being run out of thread, the color you need! It sucks!!! Just three petals left unattended??? Hate it, hate it, hate it!!!!

.............................4 days gap......................
Found the right color thread. Back to work.
Done!

Do I need that pink frame? Not really. I want something else. Will be working on it....
See you!

Happy sewing!

New pattern: jar opener and non-slip mug rug, 2 in 1

After making my Pizza placemats (see my earlier posts or find them in my Craftsy store I had leftovers of Farmer's market collection fabrics. First I was going to make some mug rugs or coasters, but then I had a better idea: to add a non-slip backing to it and use it as a jar opener! So I decided to use those squares for multiple use: coasters or mug rugs with non-slip backing and jar opener when needed!

I also tried to avoid using binding, making the edges smooth and neat. The backside looks just like squared picture frame! There is no outside stitches, all seams are hidden.
Colorful fabrics will decorate any table, any time of a year!
Will make a nice gift to anybody!

You can purchase them in my Etsy store or custom order from another fabrics from Farmers market collection: Basil, Garlic, Onion, Broccoli, Cherry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Green Sliced Hot Peppers, Green Olives and more..

Enjoy!

And happy sewing!
