Blue lagoon, new pattern and tutorial released!

This 8-pointed Bargello star is my original design.

Three patterns for three sizes of the star - 24", 36" and 48 " in diameter from point to point.

23 page tutorial contains step-by-step instructions on machine piecing of this complicated block with 32 points in the center using freezer paper and a lot of detailed pictures of the process. No special ruler needed.

You will also learn my new Freezer paper folding triangular multi-block piecing technique, - this is what makes easier to piece angles greater than 90 degrees and also helps to improve the precision of your piecing, especially in those pointy angles.

Tutorial is also loaded with multiple helpful and useful tips based on my long time sewing experience.

In my tutorial I used the pattern for 36" size.
To make block of the same size you will need :
- Freezer paper;
- Miniature iron;
- 4 shades for each of 2 main colors, less than one fat quarter for each color or jelly roll;
- Four 10 ¼” x 10 ¼” squares of contrast background fabric;
- Sewing machine and sewing essentials.

Consider about half more fabrics for larger size star.

You can see more pictures and details on this and many of my other patterns and quilts in my blog "Quiltessa. Patchwork palette." - http://yxtishka.blogspot.com/

If you are not interested in this tutorial, but would like to make this star in paper piecing technique, you might be interested in purchasing this pattern ONLY. Find it as a "Chocolate paradise, Bargello Star" in my "Patterns and tutorials" department or on Craftsy - http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilting/home-decor/chocolate-paradise-bargello-star/195778

Happy sewing!
